Principal Coordinating Investigator
Univ. Prof. Dr. med. Jörg Faber is Full Professor for Paediatric Haematology/Oncology at the University Medical Center Mainz and Head of the Childhood Centre of the UMC-Mainz. He has an extensive experience as a physician scientist and a vast experience in coordinating interdisciplinary teams in more than 40 clinical trials as a principal investigator. In the FORTEe project, he is responsible for the overall scientific progress of the project, the quality of the results, and the timely submission of all required documents and reports to the European Commission.

Scientific and Medical Coordination
Dr. Sportwiss. Sandra Stössel is an exercise scientist and has been leader of the paediatric exercise oncology programme of the UMC-Mainz since 2021. Sandra Stössel is the scientific coordinator of the FORTEe project. Dr. med. Marie Astrid Neu is a physician and coordinator of the Childhood Cancer Center of the UMC-Mainz. She has extensive experience in intervention development and in the design and conduction of clinical trials. Marie Neu is the medical coordinator of the FORTEe project. Both Sandra Stössel and Marie Neu are Co-Lead together with Prof Faber, reviewing the scientific progress of the project and helping the partners to fulfil their tasks.

Project Management
The Project Management Office (PMO) consists of the principal coordinating investigator (Prof. Jörg Faber), the scientific coordinator (Dr. Sportwiss. Sandra Stössel), the medical coordinator (Dr. med. Marie Neu) and concentris research management gmbh (concentris). Concentris is a modern German service company specialized in the organization, controlling, and dissemination of medium- and large-scale EU-funded projects within the FP7, Horizon 2020, and IMI programmes. The team is well versed with EU regulations and is used to guiding consortia through challenges. From their longstanding, hands-on expertise in the management of EU projects, the project managers understand how to communicate effectively with all involved stakeholders.
